Welcome to our e-learning course on Organizational Culture.
This is the
second of three components in the Professional Licensee Certification e-learning providing the professional with a foundational understanding to Trompenaars Hampden-Turner’s concept of culture.
Organizational Culture is the culture adopted, developed and disseminated in an organization. It can deviate from national norms, but that depends upon the strength of the culture and the values and practices tied to it. It varies in the way they think and learn, motivate, change, reward, and resolve conflicts. The four types of organizational culture are the result of the relationship of employees to their organizations in respect of these variations.
Cultural preferences operating across the dimensions, as described in the first component of this professional licensee certification, influence the models people give to organizations and the meaning they attribute to them. Our organizational culture model is defined by four categorical types of organizational culture and explores how differences between national culture help determine the type of organizational culture chosen.
